China reports over 100 new infections in one day

China has reported more than 100 new coronavirus infections in a single day for the first time in 38 days since March 5.
3月5日以来38日間ぶりに、中国は一日で100人以上の新たな感染者を発表した。
China’s health officials confirmed 108 new cases on Sunday and 98 of them are arrivals from abroad. They say the total number of infections confirmed in the country now stands at 82,160.
中国の保健当局は日曜日、108人の新たな感染者を確認し、そのうち98人は海外からの入国者である。
The authorities say a series of infections have been reported in Heilongjiang Province, which bordersRussia. They say 49 of the cases in the province on Sunday are returnees from Russia.
当局は、一連の感染者はロシアと国境が接する黒竜江省で発表されたと述べた。日曜日の同省での感染者49人はロシアからの帰国者であるという。
The Chinese government is stepping up safety measures, temporarily closing its land border with Russia.

China reported two new deaths from the coronavirus in Hubei Province on Sunday, bringing the total to 3,341.
中国は湖北省で日曜日、二人の新たな死亡者が増え、死亡者数は3,341人になった。
Officials say they confirmed on the same day 61 people who tested positive but have not shown symptoms. Those people are excluded from the official number of infections.
同日、61人が陽性だったが無症状であるのを確認したという。その人たちは感染者数から除外されている。
