憂鬱な雨が毎日のように続いていますね。
今年も洪水や土砂災害など豪雨による被害が起きています。
ある地域では「人柱が立たないと梅雨は明けない」と言われているそうです。

Two rivers have overflown at 11 locations.
球磨川など2つの川の11か所で氾濫した。
About 50 people were stranded at a nursing home in a flooded area in the village of Kuma. Fourteen of them were found without vital signs.
冠水した球磨村にある高齢者施設で、50人ほどが取り残された。そのうち14人が心肺停止の状態で見つかった。

Authorities say Self-Defense Force members worked overnight to transfer some elderly residents from the facility to a hospital.
自衛隊が夜を徹して入居者たちを施設から病院へ搬送した。

Footage taken from an NHK helicopter on Sunday morning shows an SOS sign on the ground in the city of Yatsushiro. Some people were seen waving for help at a nearby building.
NHKのヘリからの映像で八代市のグラウンドのSOSのサインが確認された。近くのビルから手を振る人もいた。
