米国 北朝鮮に挑発停止と協議再開を促す

The United States has called on North Korea to halt provocations and resume talks with Washington after an apparent new missile test by Pyongyang.
米国は北朝鮮に対し、ピョンヤンでの新型ミサイル発射の後、挑発をやめワシントンとの協議を再開するよう求めました。
US State Department spokesperson Morgan Ortagus made the comment on Thursday after North Korea fired two projectiles into the Sea of Japan earlier in the day.
木曜日、米国務省報道官モーガン・オルタガスは、北朝鮮がその日の早い時間に日本海に2発の飛翔体を発射したあと、コメントをしました。
The South Korean government says the projectiles were a new type of short-range ballistic missile.
韓国政府は、飛翔体は新型短距離弾道ミサイルだったと言っています。
Ortagus said the US wants North Korea to resolve the issues discussed by President Donald Trump and Chairman Kim Jong Un through diplomacy.
オルタガス氏によると米国は、外交を通じてトランプ大統領とキムジョンウンが話し合った問題を解決するよう北朝鮮に要請すると述べました。
She added that all parties should abide by their obligations under UN Security Council resolutions.
彼女は、すべての締約国が国連安保理決議のもと、彼らの義務を遵守すべきであると付け加えた。
Ortagus stressed that the Trump administration plans to continue negotiations with the North, and called on the country to engage in working-level talks.
オルタガスは、トランプ政権は北との交渉の継続を計画していると強調し、事務レベルの協議に参加するよう国に求めました。
She added that Secretary of State Mike Pompeo will visit the Thai capital Bangkok from August 1 to attend the ASEAN Regional Forum.
彼女は、国務長官マイクポンペオが8月1日からタイの首都バンコクを訪問し、ASEAN地域フォーラムに参加すると付け加えました。
Ortagus said the US is aware that North Korea’s Foreign Minister Ri Yong Ho is unlikely to attend the meeting. She said she didn’t have any announcements about the possibility of talks with the North Korean side.
オルタガスは、北朝鮮の李容浩外相が会議に出席する可能性は低いと米国は認識していると述べました。北朝鮮側との協議の可能性についてのコメントはありませんでした。
