Japan’s total of coronavirus cases tops 10,000
Japan’s cumulative total of confirmed infections with the coronavirus surpassed 10,000 on Saturday.
日本で確認されたコロナウィルスの累積感染者数が、土曜日、1万人に超えた。
The figure now stands at 10,098, excluding cases from the Diamond Princess cruise ship that was quarantined near Tokyo earlier this year.
現在感染者数は、今年初めに東京近郊で隔離されたダイアモンドプリンセス号の感染者を除いて、10,098人に達している。
The total tally includes 2,975 infections that have been reported in Tokyo to date. Sources say 181 new cases were confirmed in the capital on Saturday.
この合計は現在までに都内で報告された2,975人の感染者を含んでいる。関係者によると、土曜日、東京では181人の新たな感染者が確認された。
