韓国が世界貿易機関（WTO）で日本の輸出規制を批判
South Korea is criticizing Japan over tighter export requirements for some high-tech materials, calling it a violation of World Trade Organization rules.
韓国は、半導体材料などの輸出規制強化について世界貿易機関の規則違反であると、日本を批判しています。
The comments relate to Japan’s decision to apply tougher rules on shipments of substances used in high-tech products like smartphones and semiconductors.
このコメントは、スマートフォンや半導体などのハイテク製品に使用される原材料の輸出規制を厳しくするという日本の決定に関連するものです。
South Korean Ambassador Paik Ji-ah said only exports to her country are subject to the tighter controls and are having a widespread impact.
韓国のペク・ジア（白芝娥）大使は、自国への輸出のみが厳しく規制されており、広範囲に影響を及ぼすと述べました。
But Japan’s Ambassador rejected the claims. Japanese Ambassador to the Intl. Organizations in Geneva Junichi Ihara said, “This decision is not a trade embargo, but a revision of export controls based on security reasons. I have conveyed it does not violate the WTO regulations at all.”
しかし、日本の大使はその主張を拒否しました。在ジュネーブ日本政府代表部の伊原純一大使は、「この決定は禁輸措置ではなく、安全保障上に基づく貿易管理の見直しであり、WTOの規制に全く違反していないことを伝えた」と述べました。
The development comes months after South Korea’s Supreme Court ordered Japanese companies to compensate workers who say they were forced to work during World War Two. Tokyo has called on Seoul to set up an arbitration panel to settle the dispute. But Seoul has not responded to the request.
この展開は、韓国の最高裁判所が、第二次世界大戦中に労働を強いられたと言う労働者を補償するよう日本企業に命じた数ヶ月後に起きています。東京は、論争解決のため仲裁委員会を設置するようソウルに要請しました。しかしソウルはその要求に応じていません。
Japan’s trade minister on Tuesday said that Tokyo has no plans to withdraw the export curbs — describing them as “a necessary domestic procedure in Japan for the purpose of properly controlling exports.”
火曜日、経産相は東京が輸出規制を撤回する計画はないと述べました – 「適切に輸出を管理するために必要な国内運用」としてそれらを説明しました。
